Reading Rockets is an excellent online resource for parents to use for at home reading. The website is extensive and has many excellent uses. There are two pages I am providing link to that will be most helpful.
The first is a link to the page that has booklists by themes so you can easily find books for your child that will be of high interest to them.
The second is what they call reading adventure packets. These packets are by topic as well. They give you hands on reading activities to do with your child after reading a fiction and nonfiction book that are related. This packets are highly engaging and helpful to promote fun reading activities.
