What is your favorite Thanksgiving tradition?
What makes a page turner?
A great book should leave you with many experiences, and slightly exhausted at the end. You live several lives while reading.
–William Styron
Great authors create characters using descriptive language and engaging dialogue. They create a setting that is described in such a way that the reader can easily visualize it. What really makes a page turner is a book that has a plot or character that leaves you on the edge of your seat. The reader can't wait to find out where the characters will go and what they will do next.
Lincolns Grave Robbers by Steve Sheinkin was an excellent nonfiction page turner. This is a great read for any student interested in Presidential or American history. It is also a great book for the suspense mystery fan. Recommended grade level is 5th and 6th.
